Alright, I am actually a very beginner, beginner in German. What I have learnt in my first week:
Meine name ist Shari. Ich wohne in Ungarn. Ich spreche malaiisch und ein bisschen Ungarish.
Why learn German? Firstly, we are living next to a country with people who speak the language. Secondly, we might want to move to either Austria or Germany for work opportunities for the “just in case” times.
What learning sources? I am currently using Mondly for Hungarian practices and I paid for 1 year’s subscription which 33 languages including German. Other than that, there is also Duolingo and a book which I bought some 4 years ago.
I try not to make the same mistake I made with Hungarian and hopefully I will be able to speak it from Day 1.
